In 2025, CRPNA Council reviewed the requirement for RPNs to maintain professional liability protection. This review identified the need for an approach that meets regulatory standards and evolving practice expectations. Following consultation, Council determined that RPNs and the public are best supported through the comprehensive coverage offered by the Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS).
