Information for Internationally Educated Psychiatric Nurses:
APPLY TO NATIONAL NURSING ASSESSMENT SERVICES
Internationally educated psychiatric nurses (IEPNs) who want to apply to CRPNA and are not eligible for the IEPN expedited pathway must first apply directly to the National Nursing Assessment Services (NNAS) to have their education credentials assessed. NNAS coordinates a consistent national approach for IEPNs seeking registration/licensure to practice in Canadian jurisdictions.
REQUEST CRPNA TO REVIEW NNAS ADVISORY REPORT
- Once NNAS has completed the advisory report, the IEPN must submit a request to CRPNA to review this report under substantial equivalency in order to determine the IEPNs eligibility to write the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada Examination (RPNC Exam) and eligibility for registration.
- Click here for the NNAS Report Review Form.
- Once the review of the report has been completed a letter will be sent from CRPNA advising the outcome.
